These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Seal Coating Specialists to the customer.

By accepting a quote, booking a service, or allowing work to commence, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Quotes and Pricing

1.1 All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

1.2 Quotes are based on information provided by the customer and visual inspection where possible. If site conditions differ from those originally quoted, we reserve the right to adjust the price.

1.3 Additional costs may apply if:

  • The driveway requires extra preparation

  • Additional materials are needed

  • The size differs from the quoted measurement

  • Unexpected damage or contamination is present

1.4 Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and may include GST where applicable.

2. Booking and Deposits

2.1 We may require a deposit to secure your booking.

2.2 Booking dates are estimates and may change due to weather, equipment failure, or other circumstances outside our control.

2.3 Work will only be scheduled once any required deposit has been received.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Full payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 We accept payment via:

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash

  • Other approved payment methods

3.3 Late payments may incur:

  • Additional administrative fees

  • Debt collection action if unpaid after reasonable attempts

3.4 The client is responsible for all recovery costs associated with unpaid invoices.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

4.1 Ensure the driveway or work area is clear of vehicles, obstacles, furniture, and debris before the scheduled start time.

4.2 Provide safe and reasonable access to the property.

4.3 Inform us of:

  • Drainage issues

  • Previous coatings

  • Oil contamination

  • Structural damage

  • Underground services or sensitive surfaces

4.4 Keep people and pets away from the work area during and after application.

5. Surface Preparation

Proper preparation is required for seal coating. Preparation may include:

  • Cleaning

  • Pressure washing

  • Removal of dirt, debris, oil, or contaminants

If the driveway requires additional cleaning, degreasing, or repairs, additional charges may apply.

6. Weather Conditions

Seal coating is weather dependent.

We may reschedule work due to:

  • Rain

  • High humidity

  • Extreme temperatures

  • Unfavourable curing conditions

This is necessary to ensure proper application and durability.

7. Drying and Curing Time

7.1 Customers must avoid driving or walking on the sealed surface until it is fully cured.

Typical curing times:

  • Foot traffic: 24 hours

  • Vehicle traffic: 48–72 hours

Actual curing time may vary depending on weather conditions.

7.2 We are not responsible for damage caused by vehicles, pets, or foot traffic during curing.

8. Surface Imperfections

Seal coating improves appearance but does not repair structural issues.

The client acknowledges:

  • Existing cracks, patches, stains, and colour variations may remain visible.

  • Seal coating may highlight certain surface imperfections.

  • Some areas may absorb sealer differently.

This is normal and not considered a defect.

9. Property Protection

We take reasonable care to avoid damage to surrounding property.

However we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Weak or deteriorated surfaces

  • Stains caused by existing oil or chemical contamination

  • Damage resulting from poor drainage or structural failure

Customers should notify us of any sensitive areas before work begins.

10. Warranty

10.1 We provide a limited workmanship warranty of 6 months from the date of completion.

10.2 The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Tyre marks

  • Oil or chemical spills

  • Damage caused by heavy vehicles

  • Poor drainage

  • Ground movement

  • Improper use of the surface

  • Failure to follow curing instructions

10.3 Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with photos.

11. Cancellations and Rescheduling

11.1 Customers must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.

11.2 Deposits may be non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled service.

11.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to:

  • Weather

  • Equipment failure

  • Safety concerns

  • Unforeseen circumstances

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

12.1 Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.

12.2 We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Loss of use of the driveway

  • Business interruption

  • Damage caused by misuse of the surface

13. Photographs and Marketing

We may take before and after photographs of completed work for marketing purposes.

No personal identifying information or addresses will be shared without consent.

14. Safety

Customers must ensure:

  • Children and pets remain away from the work area

  • Vehicles remain off sealed surfaces during curing

Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage that is not covered by warranty.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and the relevant state or territory in which the services are provided.

By accepting a quote, booking a service, or allowing work to commence, the client confirms they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
